To all the extreme women out there, we would like to open
our services to you. Team Xtreme is a
woman’s only sport fishing team that is dedicated to introduce
and educate women and children to sport fishing
conservation and the outdoor experience through lectures,
seminars, and outings. We raise funds for women and
children's charities through tournament fishing and build
lifelong friendships both on and off the water. Don't miss
out on our 2007 events.
One of our greatest
accomplishments was winning the 2nd Annual Catchin’
for Kids Rockfish Tournament held in Virginia Beach,
Virginia. We donated $1,500 to Toy’s For Tots.
We fished aboard the Canepole captained by Rob Wolhoit and
during the two days of the tournament, we caught over 50
fish.
Another
fishing tournament that is one of our favorites is The Poor Girls Open
hosted in Ocean City, Maryland. This tournament benefits breast
cancer awareness. For two years Team Xtreme has fished this
tournament aboard the Reel Escape and one year on the Knot
Rite.
In January
2006 we were asked to conduct our first lecture at the Fort
Washington Sports Show. It was entitled "Men-only Sport
Has Women Hooked” and with great success we were able
to introduce three new members to our team. We showed how
fishing builds self-esteem, life-long friendship, and is a
lifetime learning experience.
With the success
of our seminar we were requested by Cabellas to
participate in their
Captain’s Weekend March 25 -26, 2006. We gladly accepted
and will be conducting similar seminars at various other
events. |
